In response to a request by the new Crisis Center in Honesdale, we are creating a community blanket. Our knitters/crocheters are creating 10" squares that will be joined together to create the blanket. Come help with the blanket, learn to knit, or just hang out with us!
The Honesdale Memorial Day Parade will run down Main Street, from 4th Street to 9th Street, to Central Park. The roads will close as early as 9:00am and the parade will begin at 10:00am.
The Governor’s Advisory Commission on Women invites all women across Pennsylvania to attend the State of the Woman Listening Tour and share their lived experiences. These conversations will directly inform the State of the Woman Report - the first comprehensive report on the status of women in Pennsylvania in more than two decades.

Often, when children enter foster care, they must pack their belongings quickly. This can result in kids being forced to use items such as garbage bags. Join us in providing the dignity of a packed bag during this difficult time in their lives. Bring new or gently used suitcases, luggage, or duffle bags for Wayne County children and youth.

Yarn Over the Falls invites the community to gather for a Stitch-In at the WCDC headquarters in Honesdale. This event centers on the “Melt the ICE” hat — a red knit or crochet hat that has become a visible symbol of solidarity with individuals and families impacted by ICE enforcement actions.
